Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw (/mpʰɜ̌ː/ /kæ̂iː/ [elusive] [darling]) is a subtropical Town located in the Trävstengh Region of the Confederation of Goblin Tribes.

The name Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw is derived from the Goblin language, as Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw was founded by Bregfëm Shèj Tsîgesêg̈, who was culturaly Goblin.

Climate

Overview

Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw was founded durring the late 13th century in fall of the year 1195, by Bregfëm Shèj Tsîgesêg̈. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw is buildings folow an organic layout of narrow cobblestone streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a town of Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw's size could have. Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw's well-designed, yet cheep are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw gives you a feeling of distrust and paranoia. Also greed. The locals seem to be very much into scholastic pursuits, based on the hushed, murmured conversations you hear at least. Everyone in Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw acts like they have discovered something wondrous, and are worried they will endure some horrible fate so another can take what they’ve discovered for themselves.

Cultural Notes

Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw is led by one or more incompetents. While they must have been very good at something to have acquired the position, they are fundamentally incapable of leading. Uncontrolled passions or lusts, commitment to a hopelessly impractical ideal, pigheaded obstinacy in the face of failure, a total lack of charisma or interpersonal skills, or profound laziness might all unfit them for their post.

Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is short in Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw.

The Blood Hawk near Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Mpfer Cē̂y Nêōw's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves sacrificing an animal to channel Summoning energies of tier 3 via moments of science.
